Jainee College of Nursing is a herald that has extended its devotion to the young aspirants to realize their dream of becoming a nurse. The year 2002 envisaged the cherished ideas come true in the form of establishment. In 2002, Jainee College of Nursing started running with a few number of students and faculty at Aathupatti. Jainee College at present boasts about 650 students pursuing five different courses in Nursing. The college has been duly recognized by INC and TNC, and affiliated to The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University.
The faculty of the Jainee College of Nursing believe in providing nursing education that is built on scientific principles, sound educational theory and practice. Our graduates with experience can rapidly move into leadership positions in nursing education, nursing services and administration. We believe in promoting all round development of the students with special emphasis on humility, morality, intelligence and spirituality which are expected of a professional nurse who will also be a valuable citizen and an effective “agent for change” in an ever changing society. Graduation in Nursing or B. Sc. (Bachelor of Science) in Nursing is a four-year professional course. To pursue B. Sc. nursing the candidates should have minimum eligibility criteria having completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as mandatory subjects. Prepare graduates to assume responsibilities as professional, competent nurses and midwives at basic level in providing promotive, preventive, curative and rehabilitative services. Prepare nurses who can make independent decisions in nursing situations, protect the rights of facilitate individuals and groups in pursuit of health, function in the hospital, community nursing services and conduct research studies in the areas of nursing practice. They are also expected to assume the role of teacher, supervisor and manager in a clinical / public health setting
GNM programme is meant to prepare general nurses who can efficiently perform as members of the health team and capable of dealing the competencies in both the hospitals and other such organizations. Minimum and Maximum age for admission will be 17 and 35 years respectively. Minimum education: 10+2 class passed or its equivalent preferably with Science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) subjects with aggregrate of 45% marks.
