Jainee College of Pharmacy, was incepted in 2002 and is attached to the Jainee Group of Institution. The pharmacy college is approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) New Delhi and Government of Tamil Nadu and affiliated to The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University.

Many Multi National Pharmaceutical Companies are carrying out clinical trials in India wherein pharmacists are in high demand, the pharmaceutical industry involves in activities relating to the development, formulation, production or marketing of new drugs for clinical use. M. Pharm or Ph.D holders are absorbed in research work, to develop new useful drugs, in laboratories and in production work in analyzing them for purity and strength in the pharmaceutical industry. Pharmacists are hired within the central and state government departments- the Health Protection Branch of the Department of Health and Welfare, the Pest Control Division of Agriculture, the Department of National Defense, Provincial Research Councils, and the Provincial Departments of Agriculture or the Environment.
The duration of the course shall be for 2 academic years with each academic year spread over a period of not less than one hundred and eighty working days in addition to 500 hours practical training spread over a period of not less than 3 months.Minimum qualification for admission to Diploma in Pharmacy part-I course — A pass in any of the following examinations with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Mathematics.Intermediate examination in Science;The first year of the three-year degree course in Science,10+2 examination (academic stream) in Science; Any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent to any of the above examination.
